My New Home - blogger.com

I just signed up here at Blogger.com, so this will be my new home for my musings on all things political, cultural, religious, technological and otherwise newsworthy.

My old home is http://nader.blog-city.com. You can still read some of my old posts there, but the site is no longer free, effective this month. Thus, I can no longer afford them...

As I stated in my previous post, I live in Tulsa, OK, hardest hit by the recent ice storm. I lost power on Monday, Dec. 10 and was dismayed to learn that power might be out for "7 to 10 days." I listened to my transistor radio all day but the estimated time frame was still the same--7 to 10 days!

We slept in front of the fireplace that evening, and on the next day--to my pleasant surprise--the lights came on at noon! I realize that many are still without power so Tulsa is not out of the woods yet.

But to pre-empt your question, no, I do not feel "power guilt."

Tulsa Tree Damage

This is the damage to one of the trees in front of my house after the recent ice storm in Tulsa. It's a rose bush--at least the whole tree is not wasted. I'll have some trimming to do, but not this weekend.

A new storm is heading for Tulsa...
