U.S. Airlines Should Learn from Israelis

Airline screening in the U.S. is a subject of much debtate, but we could take some valuable
lessons from the Israelis. In 30 years they have not had a single hijacking or terrorist
attack on their El Al Airline.

Their secret? Racial profiling you say?

Think again. It's called Behavior Pattern Recognition, what they term "the human factor." In short, their security people dialogue with ALL passengers boarding a flight, and they
ask probing questions. In addition they look for suspicious behavior, nervous responses to
questions, anything out of the ordinary. Passengers warranting a closer look are escalated up
the chain of command for further questioning.

Maybe we should learn something from the Israelis: Bombs don't kill people, people do.
